Gum infections can eventually transfer into the bloodstream and cause or worsen many medical conditions. It can make you susceptible to heart disease and stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another problem, gum disease can cause long term infection of the gums eventually causing the bone that holds your teeth to dissolve and be permanently lost. Your teeth can become loose and then fall out. This is a slow process and the pain doesn\u2019t present itself until it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ways to manage and avoid bleeding gums:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Good Oral Hygiene Habits&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you don\u2019t brush or floss enough, bacteria can spread around and cause tooth decay or gum disease. Brush your teeth at least twice daily and floss once a day and see your dental hygienist twice a year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Drink green tea<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drinking green tea daily might also reverse periodontal disease and stop bleeding gums.
